A List of all the Thrill Rides at Islands of Adventure

Islands of Adventure has attractions for all ages, and many can be enjoyed as a family. Some rides at this park could even be an excellent choice for someone’s first thrill type of attraction. This list is a bit longer than the one for Universal Studios Florida, so let’s jump in!

The Hulk & Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall

The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of my favorite thrill rides in Univeral Orlando. It’s definitely not the newest, but it’s a must-do. This attraction launches up to 67 miles per hour as a Hulk-like power propels you upside down into a zero-gravity roll, racing faster and faster. I remember being so afraid of this ride, but it quickly became one of my favorites once I finally got the courage to do it. It is important to note that guests must be 54 inches tall to ride, and there are other size restrictions.

Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall is an attraction no one will ever see me ride. I can do roller coasters all day, but drop tower-type rides aren’t for me. This attraction has a height requirement of 52 inches as the minimum. According to Universal, Doctor Doom’s Fear Fall is perfect for tweens, teens, and adults. Let us know if you dare to ride this scary attraction.

Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls

This water ride might not be labeled as a thrill ride, but that last drop is thrilling. This is one of my favorite attractions to enjoy during the summer because it’s a great way to feel refreshed, plus it’s enjoyable. I may not LOVE the theming, but overall, it’s a very fun time. The height requirement for this log flume attraction is 44 inches minimum. This is a great ride that a travel group that has a range of ages from tweens to adults can enjoy together.

Jurassic Park River Adventure & VelociCoaster

Jurassic Park River Adventure is another fantastic water attraction with thrilling elements. Not only do you come face to face with a giant T-rex, but there’s an 85-foot drop at the end. I think this is an amazing ride for guests that love Jurassic Park or Dinosaurs in general because you get to see many different types throughout the attraction. The minimum height requirement is 42 inches, and any guests under that need to be accompanied by someone taller.

If you are looking for something in this area that’s a bit more thrilling, Jurassic World VelociCoaster is for you. This coaster is like no other. VelociCoaster will have you twisting and soaring above the land and water, all while reaching speeds of 70 mph. At its highest peak, it reaches 155 feet, with over 4,700 feet of track. To board this attraction, you must be 51 inches tall, and this ride has some restrictions making it not inclusive to all body types.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is the perfect thrill ride for Harry Potter fans. This thrilling roller coaster ride plunges into the paths of some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures, and there are some unexpected, exciting moments. Hagrid’s has the most launches of any roller coaster in the world, seven launches total, to be exact. It is important to note that the minimum height requirement is 48 inches. I love this ride; it is Universal’s most highly themed and immersive coaster. It should be on everyone’s must-do list when visiting Islands of Adventure.
