The newly-expanded Universal Studios Store in Universal CityWalk Orlando has opened with a new SUPER NINTENDO WORLD section and a larger dedicated area for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, including a Butterbeer counter! The expansion took over the previous Cinnabon and Quiet Flight Surf Shop locations just next to the movie theater. It’s tough to miss the new red SUPER NINTENDO WORLD sign just beyond the movie theater as you enter CityWalk. Let’s-a-go!
Super Nintendo World Shop Expansion
The larger part of the expansion represents Nintendo’s portal at Universal Epic Universe, which officially opens May 22nd. Nintendo enthusiasts will be thrilled with the new SUPER NINTENDO WORLD section, featuring a vibrant entrance inspired by the iconic video game landscapes.
Inside, you can shop for merchandise showcasing favorite characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Bowser, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong.
You’ll find just about everything there is to pick up from Epic Universe’s SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, including Power-Up Bands, character-themed apparel, plush toys, and unique collectibles. The shop’s decor blends the sleek and modern feel of the Universal Studios Store with the vibrant iconography from Super Mario games, including warp pipes along the ceiling or holding plush toys down below, murals of Mushroom Kingdom and Peach’s Castle, checkered flooring, and colorful built-in shelves for merchandise.
Wizarding World Shop Expansion & Butterbeer Counter
Leading into the expanded Wizarding World area, this is just behind the rest of the Universal Studios Store and connects to the pre-existing room with Harry Potter items. This first area has a Butterbeer theme, with a counter resembling a bar in front barrels of Butterbeer. You can actually order a cup of cold or frozen Butterbeer here! This marks the first time Butterbeer is available outside of the theme parks.
Merchandise available in this area follow the Butterbeer theme, alongside favorite candies from Honeyduke’s, and other Harry Potter foods.
There’s a limited-edition Golden Butterbeer Stein available for $37.99, including your first fill of Butterbeer from the new counter.
The new Time Turner Popcorn Bucket is also available here.
A new archway leads from the new Butterbeer area into the pre-existing Wand Room of the Universal Studios Store.
Harry Potter is represented at Epic Universe as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, opening May 22nd (but the park has soft opened with preview tickets available!)
Next time you have a craving for some ice cold Butterbeer or need to pick up a Nintendo souvenir but don’t have a park ticket (or don’t want the shopping bag to weigh you down all day), the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk is the place to be!
