Islands of Adventure Jurassic Park Jurassic Park River Adventure

Jurassic Park River Adventure is a flume ride based on the film Jurassic Park and a close replica of the original attraction that debuted in Universal Studios Hollywood. What starts as a leisurely boat ride into Jurassic Park past Ultrasaurus and Stegosaurus turns into a nightmare after going off path and into a Velocioraptor Containment Area. The Raptors broke loose when power went down to the fences and you float past attacking Raptors and Dilophosauruses until encountering a T-Rex that sends you down an 85-foot plunge.

Like most water rides, there is no safe place to sit on Jurassic Park River Adventure to protect from getting wet. However, the dinosaurs and details put into the ride are so impressive that it is worth being drenched for a little bit. Keep an eye out for some ears you may recognize floating in the water at one point. Keep in mind that the ride is dark and loud for the inside portions. Although the height requirement is low, the theme of the ride is that dinosaurs are trying to attack you and can be scary.
