Skull Island: Reign of Kong is now officially open!

After a lengthy soft opening period, Skull Island: Reign of Kong is now officially open! Kong is a multi-sensory experience on a moving motion simulator of sorts that blends immersive live action environments, with impressive 3D and out-of-this-world animatronics. The best part is – all of that happens after you walk through one of the best queues at Universal Orlando that even features scareactors!

Al Roker was joined with TODAY show members Natalie Morales and Tamron Hall for the official grand opening during a live remote as part of this morning’s taping. After the fanfare is over, Kong will be open every day from park open to close for anxious guests waiting to see the legend for perhaps the first time since his stay over in Universal Studios Florida.

Is this in IOA or USO? What did it replace? Is there a size limit for chub chubs like Harry Potter?

did not replace anything, i think it used to be parking spot area for employees. it’s in IOA between rip saw and Jurrasic park entrance. it’s like sitting on the Safari ride at animal kingdom.

Thanks! I guess Universal got the memo that fat people are tired of being told they can’t ride because the shoulder restraint doesn’t click enough!
