After a sneak peek during NBC’s Olympic coverage, we finally have a trailer for Illumination’s The Grinch that will debut in theaters on November 9, 2018. This version has Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the beloved character who appears to be just as miserable as ever. The trailer is a mixed bag in terms of what it chooses to showcase. Fans of Despicable Me will find comfort in it after hearing Pharrell’s song “Happy” used as a gag, but scenes of the Grinch interacting with the Whos shows off some great animation and gives us a taste for the Grinch’s persona in the upcoming movie. We’ll definitely be seeing a lot of tie-ins with The Grinch popping up at Universal Parks & Resorts this winter at Universal, so get ready for The Grinch!
