According to the Orlando Sentinel, there are two or three new hotels in the works for Universal Parks and Resorts on the location of the old Wet ‘n Wild water park. These details were reported on after documents were submitted to the city by Universal.

City officials claim that the documents submitted by Universal have details that suggest that the hotels will be themed and will “complement existing on-site Universal hotels.” Additionally, the resort will include pools, scenic landscaping, retail locations, dining, and more! This new resort location will offer theme park shuttle services to the Universal theme parks.

The resort will be split up by Universal Boulevard. The current plan would allocate 1,200 rooms on the west side, and 2,800 on the east side. Guests will enter the resort with the option of “three driveways, off Universal Boulevard and International Drive. The main entrance will be on Universal Boulevard south of International Drive.” The new plans show ground and garage parking.
