Plans surface showing Volcano Bay tram road

With very limited space left on property, people have been questioning where exactly parking will be for the upcoming Volcano Bay water park opening in 2017. New plans reveal Universal’s answer to the question.

Universal has filed paperwork with the South Florida Water Management District (Application #160112-19) showing a dedicated bus and tram road coming from Universal’s south parking structure to an area just south of Loews Sapphire Falls Resort (opening this summer) where guests would then walk through a pedestrian tunnel below the I-4 ramps to the plot of land that is now known as Project 533. A hub for transportation would also be built at the south parking structure.

Bravo and hats off to Universal for coming up with this plan, but at the same time, it still seems a bit complicated just to get to a water park. However, if Volcano Bay is as impressive as concept art is showing then it will be worth the hassle to actually get to the place.
