Tentative Volcano Bay opening date teased during I-Drive meeting

On March 11, a meeting was held discussing the current progress on the I-Drive construction. For some reason, Universal Orlando Resort was listed as part of the updates, most notably Volcano Bay. Volcano Bay is the all, but confirmed water park expansion to Universal Orlando, which should be located south of Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The document handed out listed Volcano Bay as opening in Fall 2016, which seems like a quick turnaround for an entire water park and also a strange time of year to open a brand new park.

Despite permits being filed and this new information from sources that may or may not be truly credible, Universal has yet to comment on Volcano Bay.
