Parking at the Universal Orlando Resort just became slightly more expensive. Regular parking just increased from $22 to $25; Prime parking increased from $35 to $40.
Valet parking saw an increase in pricing as well. The price for parking in valet for over two hours before 6 p.m. increased from $45 to $50, and valet parking for over two hours after 6 p.m. increased from $40 to $45. Red Carpet Valet parking for over two hours before 6 p.m. increased from $55 to $60, and from $50 to $55 for Red Carpet Valet parking after 6 p.m.
Lastly, RV/Bus parking increased from $25 to $30.
The increase in parking is unsurprising as it comes a little less than a week after the Walt Disney World Resort announced that it would be increasing its parking prices.

These parks work with each other, (Disney, Universal) . One raises prices and the other follows. This will keep on till the tourists stop coming because of the high costs. Being they are tourists, this will never happen and the residents of Floirda suffer the consequences.

Residents go more frequently and would have to pay the increased parking also. Not sure what the mystery is.
Anyone who goes more often to anything where there are dollars spent will pay more. Even if prices stay the same.

Considering the low cost of the annual pass, that includes FREE parking… I still don’t understand? When you say “go more frequently” you don’t have to be a financial genius to know that 3 days of entrance about equals the cost of an “Annual Pass” which comes with the free parking. When you add the cost of parking for those three trips… an annual pass is a no-brainer!
If you are a local andgo a couple of days a year it would be more frequent then most people in the country but wouldn’t warrant an annual pass.
Are you a millenial? A “Preferred” Annual Pass with free parking renewal is $289 something (plus tax) for (18-months), it costs $115 (plus tax) for a one day, one park ticket… now add the $22 per day for parking… $115+22=$137 for one day. $289/137=2.109 trips to be cheaper with an annual pass! And yes I am a local… There is no better deal than Disney’s or Universal’s Annual Passholder programs for Florida Residents! And I didn’t even touch on the discounts for food and some merchandise, which makes it an even better deal! Math is a wonderful thing, sad more people don’t try it 🙁
I’m on the website right now and your prices are not checking out. The only one that comes to that price that I see is seasonal. Also I’ll tell you I have a business bachelors degree from a big ten school and do quit well not that is any of your business what I am. Not sure why the anger on a friendly dis article. The 1st time purchase would be 359.99 (plus tax) which divided by the $137 per day would still only take 2.63 days make the annual pass a better deal. And don’t forget that price is for 1.5 years… Sorry about the math crack, my humor sucks sometimes 🙁
Most of the Florida residents are WDWAPs, they do not pay for parking at the parks. Don’t Florida residents benefit from the taxes out of state tourists pay?
Big surprise, not! They track what Disney does, even though their product is much inferior…
Not sure if you get much agreement as our family of five 931,33,38,65 and 70) all love Universal far more than Disney and would say Universal parks are superior albeit smaller. Ride the movies is far superior than riding old rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle cruise etc in all parks. Only Avatar matches the best of Universal.
I don’t think the parks work with each other even if one monitors the other. Disney bought the rights to Marvel comics so Universal could not expand in that area. Wouldn’t surprise me if Disney, one day, built a 5th park and called it super heros for Marvel Characters.
