Universal Orlando has changed up their safety guidelines as they continue to get closer to normal. In accordance with the latest safety updates from local health and government officials, temperature checks upon entry have been discontinued as of May 6, 2021. Social distancing between parties has now been reduced to three feet (1 meter). Previously, social distancing was a minimum of six feet between parties and guests with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees couldn’t enter Universal CityWalk and the theme parks.

Face coverings are still required for everyone who is visiting, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Universal is still encouraging guests to wash their hands often for 20 seconds. Guests will still be required to use hand sanitizer at select locations including prior to boarding ride vehicles.
