Volcano Bay, Universal’s new water theme park, is now officially open! Universal’s third gate was opened with a bang thanks to the Waturi people who happen to be the native inhabitants of Volcano Bay. The opening ceremony featured live music and dancing in a true spectacle fashion. Check out our video of the grand opening below!
Volcano Bay features 18 attractions and 60 food items in an amazingly immersive environment. The centerpiece of Volcano Bay is the Krakatau, which houses three water slides at its peak and provides some amazing views whether you are hanging out in the wave pool or riding through it on the Krakatau Aqua Coaster. We had the chance to experience most of Volcano Bay the day before its grand opening as a media preview and we will be sharing our thoughts on the park very soon, but for now take a look at our preview of Volcano Bay!
