You know what they say — when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie… that’s amore. Nestled within the cosmic corridors of Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe, Pizza Moon isn’t just your average theme park pizza joint; it’s an intergalactic whimsical dining experience where the pizza is oven fired in 90 seconds and delivered straight to your table. Whether you’re fueling up before your next ride or just looking for a stellar snack, this retro-futuristic eatery is where classic comfort meets cosmic creativity.

The entire Pizza Moon venue is set up like a theater production, with inspiration from the 1902 sci-fi silent film ‘A Trip to the Moon’; from the massive marquee sign and posters out front, to the moving characters flying high above the main seating area alongside twinkling stars, it truly sets the stage for a whimsical dining experience.

At the rear center of the venue, you’ll find the pizza oven inside a crashed rocket ship, alongside more characters who call Pizza Moon their home planet.

The right side of the restaurant offers seating with a starry ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows with views out to a green garden and Helios Grand Hotel in the background.

This is a quick-serve style restaurant, where you seat yourself and Mobile Order via the Universal Orlando app from the table. Once you tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” and input your table number in the app, your food eventually arrives directly to your table. (In case you encounter any issues, there are two manual cash registers with Team Members to assist toward the back of the restaurant, near the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines.)
And now for the most important part: the FOOD. Let’s just say, our tastebuds launched into orbit. The menu offers an array of pizzas, from cheese and pepperoni, to some with fun planetary twists like BBQ potato chip toppings, or ube crust!

We chose two pizzas and two Celestial Park-exclusive draft beers for our recent lunch visit:
The Giant Mushroom | $17.99
Roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune, wild mushrooms, truffle aioli, parsley

The taste and texture of this pizza dough come remarkably close to perfection—especially impressive for a quick-service spot. It has a subtle hint of sweetness, a satisfying crunch along the bottom and crust, and a soft, airy interior that gives each bite just the right balance of chew and crisp. The white béchamel sauce is a lovely base for this vegetarian option, topped with well-cooked buttery mushrooms. The cheese is well-melted and blends well with the white sauce. However, sadly, the truffle aioli didn’t have that strong, earthy taste of truffles at all. We hope this comes through stronger the next time around! Despite this small note, we would order this again, and recommend for any vegetarian visitors!

Pizza Lunare | $18.99
Roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune, ricotta pancetta, garlic confit, purple celestial ube crust

We’re big ube fans over here, but were slightly concerned about the crust being too sweet. But, to be honest, there wasn’t much traditional ube flavoring here (think sweet potato). In our experience, the ube simply provided a fun purple hue for the dough. The rest of the pizza was quite tasty, though, and we would order this again.
The béchamel sauce is truly top-notch, offering a rich, velvety base that ties all the flavors together beautifully. The pancetta delivers a deep, smoky pork flavor and melts in your mouth with its tender texture. Then there are the pockets of garlic confit—bold, fragrant, and absolutely worth the punch they pack (just make sure to have some mints handy for afterward). The dollops of ricotta add a cloud-like creaminess, especially when layered over the gooey melted cheese. And the dough? Soft, airy, and delightfully playful, with big, blistered bubbles that are as satisfying to bite into as they are to look at.

The flavors and textures all together reminded me of a breakfast pizza. Ryno even mentioned, “hey, drop an egg on this thing!”

We paired our pizzas with two draft beers exclusive to Celestial Park from Crooked Can Brewing from Winter Garden, Florida. There’s no menu descriptions for these just yet, and unfortunately the Team Members at the venue didn’t know much about them either. In the simplest terms = beer good.
The Wizard Whit | $13
We did catch this is a wheat beer from the draft tap handle. It’s very light, and didn’t have much flavor upon our first sip. However, it paired well with our savory pizzas. Between every few bites, a sip of the Wizard Wit left us with a light and refreshing aftertaste of peach or nectarine.

The Speechless Astronomer | $13
…But, the winner between these two hoppy selections for us was the Speechless Astronomer, an IPA from Crooked Can. It had just the right amount of sharp bite, which was a nice palate cleanser between each bite of food. It had a slight juicy citrus flavor, but not overwhelmingly so.

Overall, we really enjoyed our first lunch experience at Pizza Moon, and can’t wait to return to try other pizza pies that are promised to be out of this world. When we thought about it, this is some of the best pizza we’ve ever had at a theme park!
All hail the Pizza Queen — who has a striking resemblance to Sigourney Weaver (another space queen).
