Universal Orlando is offering an all NEW monster makeup experience exclusively at Epic Universe; opening on May 22, 2025. The Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience will be located in the Dark Universe area of Epic Universe which is the home of classic Universal Monsters like Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon; and now you get to look and dress like these iconic monsters. Darkmoor’s Makeup Experience is located in Dr. Pretorius’ old lab which has been converted into a parlor to continue on the spirit of his experiments.
There are two monster makeup packages available –
- The Transformation Ticket: A Face Makeup Experience with Matching Accessories – starting from $169 for adults and $109 for children (ages 5 – 9)
- The Experiment Ticket: A Face Makeup Experience – starting from $45 for all ages
You can book either of these packages NOW with Universal Orlando or your Dreams Unlimited Travel Agent. At this time of writing this article, there are still packages available for opening weekend of Epic Universe.
The best part of all is that the Monster Makeup Experience is for all guests 5 years of age and older. So that means even the adults can experience the full makeover process. The one caveat is that alcoholic beverages may not be purchased or consumed in any of Universal Orlando’s theme parks or City Walk while in the monster makeup. No mead for you Frankenstein!
Other things to know – tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can receive a 10% discount when purchasing a “ticket” or package at the Darkmoor Makeup Experience. In other words, there are no discounts when purchased online, in advance. Universal does state the makeup should last all day but is not waterproof.
Universal Orlando recently showed off pictures of what some of these makeovers will look like and they are frighteningly good. So much so that we’re going to have to experience it for ourselves… stay tuned!
