Get ready to step into the heart of the wizarding world like never before. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is one of the most anticipated attractions at Universal’s upcoming Epic Universe theme park, which takes fans deep inside the iconic Ministry of Magic.
You’re not going to want to miss this incredible experience when Universal Epic Universe theme park opens on May 22, 2025!
As guests make their way through the queue, they’ll pass by dozens of British Ministry of Magic offices overlooking the grand atrium. Each window offers a glimpse into mysterious wizarding affairs – who knows what magical business is unfolding behind the glass?
One of the highlights of the queue is the atrium’s Fountain of Magical Brethren. The large golden statues depict a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house-elf.
In the wizarding world, visitors would stop at reception booths like these to get information or directions before heading off on Ministry business. Several booths are scattered throughout the attraction’s queue, adding to the immersive experience.
This iconic logo appears throughout the British Ministry of Magic, including here, carved into the wall between two reception booths. As guests journey through the attraction, they’ll notice the Ministry’s architecture is rich with recurring elements of wood, tile, and brass, creating a cohesive and immersive design.
One of the more intriguing departments riders may see when riding is the Department of Magical Creatures. This is where the Ministry handles incoming shipments of curious and magical creatures, overseeing their regulation, care, and containment.
As you move through the queue, you’ll see some of the many case files stacked in the Auror’s Office (Ministry of Magic law enforcement officials who defend against the Dark Arts).
A highlight of Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is the former office of Dolores Umbridge. Guests will be captivated by the intricately carved columns, rose-colored tile walls, and a detailed frieze of magical creatures that adorn the space.

Guests will travel through the British Ministry of Magic on a magical lift that moves in every direction. The lift is elegantly appointed with cushioned seats and brass panels, ensuring the utmost in comfort while conducting ministry business.
Featuring the ever-present British Ministry of Magic logo, audio speakers like this line the walls of the magical lifts guests will ride.
Inside the attraction, guests will swoop through the Magical Archives, a cavernous library where towering cabinets and mountainous stacks of paper contain centuries’ worth of critical wizarding documents.
Guests’ magical lift will also take them through the Time Room in the Department of Mysteries. They can take a moment and view the wooden cabinets filled with time-keeping devices of every shape and size.
