Charge That Phone (and Bring Back Up Power!)
Between using the Universal Orlando app for ride wait times, mobile food ordering, and snapping a million photos, your phone will be working overtime. Unfortunately, Epic Universe isn’t exactly flush with FuelRod machines—and unlike Disney, they’re not free to swap. Bring a portable charger (or two), and make sure to fully charge your phone the night before your big park day.
Keeping Your Cool
Spoiler alert: Florida is hot. Like, lava level in Bowser’s Castle hot. And while the park is stunning, there really aren’t a whole lot of shaded outdoor spots. Bring your own shade with a solar umbrella, and maybe add a handheld fan to keep your face cool in-between those thrilling attractions.
Hydration = Happiness. Can we say this loudly enough? STAY. HYDRATED. Epic Universe offers tons of water refill stations and fountains, so bring a refillable bottle to sip all day long. You’re walking miles (15-18k steps on an average day for me!), waiting in lines, riding coasters, and exploring new areas — all alongside thousands of people. Keep your cool all day long by staying hydrated with that good ol’ H2O. Refill and repeat.
And of course, do not forget your sunscreen. Apply first thing in the morning before arriving to the park, and re-apply throughout the day to avoid ruining the rest of your Orlando fun.

Nintendo Power-Up Band
Heading to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD? Don’t miss out on the full interactive experience. A Power-Up Band unlocks mini-games, collect coins, and lets you battle bosses, making you feel like you’ve stepped straight into the Mushroom Kingdom. (You can purchase a Power-Up Band at the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk, or select resort gift shops ahead of your Epic Universe visit. Otherwise, the gift shops found in Celestial Park and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD have plenty available!)
Interactive Magic Wands
Venturing into the all-new Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic? Your interactive wand turns you from tourist to wizard-in-training. Spell-casting spots are scattered throughout the land; you’ll want to be ready to swish and flick at a moment’s notice. While there are those super-cool, new generation wands available with haptic and light reactions, you can still use your older generation wand in the new Harry Potter-themed land.
