Bonnie Wright & New Panels Announced for A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018

In an effort to bring as many Weasley children to A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018, Universal has been able to reveal that Bonnie Wright, better known to fans as Ginny Weasley, will be apart of this year’s event! Wright will be joining James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) and Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) at the event taking place January 26-28, 2018. Wright has attended various events at Universal Orlando in the past, but is a welcomed addition considering she was in every single one of the Harry Potter films.

Universal has also announced three brand new panels happening at A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018. Discover Behind-the-Scenes Secrets with Award Winning Special Effects Supervisor, John Richardson will be hosted by the special effects supervisor on all eight Harry Potter films and he will share how flying broomsticks, floating candles, wand explosions, fire-breathing dragons, and more were created for the movies. “Graphic Design for Film: Creating the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes” will be hosted by MinaLima (Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina) and will be a discussion of what graphic design went into brining Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes to life. “The Magic of Costumes in Harry Potter” will be hosted by Jany Temime, the costume designer for the last six films, and Harry Potter: The Exhibition curator Eddie Newquist to talk about the costumes in the movies.

Inside the expo, there will be one new experience – “Wizarding Costumes from Harry Potter: The Exhibition”. You’ll also be able to enjoy past booths like “The Sorting Hat Experience”, Pottermore, Scholastic, MinaLima, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Vacation packages are still available for this year’s event, and A Celebration of Harry Potter 2018 sounds more promising with the new panel additions and current cast lineup.
