The scare season is getting closer and closer and now we have a new reason to be afraid. Universal Orlando has officially announced that Chance, Jack the Clown’s sidekick, will be getting a brand new role as the Halloween Horror Nights icon for this year’s event.

Last year, guests had the chance to see Jack and Chance in The Carnage Returns show, and this year her story will start where last year’s ended. Beyond being the icon, Chance will also have her own demented house and scare zone. According to the official Universal Orlando Close Up blog, “Chance finds her herself incarcerated for the crimes of last year.”

They go on to explain:

But this is not a tragedy for her. This prison is a toy box. It’s within the confines of her cell that she enters her horrific “theatre of the mind”. She knows that the acts committed inside her mind will manifest in the real. Both equally deranged and gothically beautiful.

Because of this, we are going to see two very different versions of Chance at this event – one that is described as “shockingly real” and another described as “grotesquely imagined.”

Look for more information to come in the following months for Halloween Horror Nights, but for now you should be getting excited for Chance to take her place on the main stage with  her “coy and maniacal smirk.”
