Are you afraid of ghosts, because I ain’t afraid of no ghosts… yet. That could change this fall at Halloween Horror Nights 2024, because Ghostbusters is returning! A brand new haunted house will be featured at the event in Orlando and Hollywood based on Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. If you didn’t see the movie, you still have time before Halloween Horror Nights kicks off at Universal Orlando on Friday, August 30 and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 5.
The house will bring to life the latest movie in the franchise along with iconic ghosts, creatures, and characters from the classic series. The house will take place in New York City and follows the Spengler family teaming up with the original Ghostbusters who are not helming a top-secret research lab for their strange and unusual enterprise. An old relic sets Garraka free and the vengeful spirit wants to freeze everyone to death. Old and new Ghostbusters team up to protect the city and the world.
As guests venture through the haunted houses, they will find themselves in the sinister world of the supernatural, from Ray’s Occult Books shop to the Ghostbuster’s new high-tech lab and containment facility to the dank New York City sewer system. Fans will embark on this petrifying journey alongside the Ghostbusters, encountering iconic ghosts who slime and nefarious villains who are out for revenge – all while trying to escape an army of ghastly creatures bent on cracking bones and turning their veins into rivers of ice. As they navigate their way through freezing and frightening conditions, the Ghostbusters will need their wit and humor to defend the city they love from a terror too chilling to believe.
