Get ready to step inside Terrifier, a house full of Art the Clown killer himself, film-accurate and new kill scenes, extremely unpleasant scents, a wet and dry path (you choose!), and gore to the max.

In case you need another reason to visit this year — for a full night (or seven) of the event, or perhaps a lights-on tour through a few haunted houses with no scares — let this be your sign… and keep reading! For now, let’s peel back the curtain for one of the most hyped houses of the year.

Universal has introduced one of its boldest and most graphic haunted houses yet: Terrifier. Based on Damien Leone’s cult-favorite horror films, the house puts guests face-to-face with the unsettling villain Art the Clown.

Meet Art the Clown

Meet Art the Clown: a sadistic, bloodthirsty silent mime killer who drags along a heavy black trash bag packed with every twisted tool he needs to torment his victims.

“He’s a very off-putting and scary looking character, but what’s terrifying — no pun intended — about Art the Clown is that he can live in this funny, silly, comedic world for a bit and he can get your guard down and then BOOM! Like the flip of a switch, he becomes the most horrifying and ruthless slasher you’ve ever seen.” – Ramon Parador, HHN show director

Art Beyond the Maze

You just can’t escape him! Art”s silent yet terrifying presence isn’t limited to the haunted house. He also roams and lurks throughout Universal Studios Florida all night, appearing in unexpected spots such as shops, dining areas, and house queue lines.

A Gore-Driven Vision

The creative team behind Halloween Horror Nights worked closely with Terrifier‘s creator, writer, director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone to capture the films’ signature blend of gore, shock, and psychological unease. Show director Ramon Paradoa explained that the team’s goal was to immerse fans directly into the Terrifier universe while delivering new scares exclusive to the event. The result is a house that pushes boundaries and is being described as one of the goriest in Halloween Horror Nights history.

“We wanted to go there,” Ramon says. “We wanted to deliver an experience that was authentic to the brand. Because whether you’ve seen the ‘Terrifier’ films or not, more likely than not, you’ve at least heard that they are tough to get through. They’re an experience —  they’re super gory. So we wanted our haunted house to mirror that.”

Inside the House

You’ll enter a twisted version of a funhouse, reimagined by Art the Clown as his personal playground of death. Classic kills from the Terrifier films make their way inside, including Dawn’s infamous hacksaw scene and Allie’s bedroom attack. Alongside these fan-favorite moments are original sequences designed to expand Art’s mythology in ways unique to the HHN setting.

The maze includes several familiar environments:

  • The Clown Café, where a cheery jingle conceals sinister intent.
  • Art’s weapon-filled trash bag will litter throughout the funhouse, reminding you he’s never far behind!
  • Art’s Kill Shop, showcasing some of his disturbing contraptions for new killing experiments (keep your eyes peeled for plenty of film Easter eggs here!)

Throughout the walkthrough, you’ll be drenched with warm fake blood and smelling some strongly unpleasant scents, including bleach and fecal matter, building to a finale that leaves no one untouched. At the climax, everyone must choose between two routes: the Dry Path or the Blood Bath, with neither offering much relief from the carnage.

For fans of extreme horror, Terrifier offers one of the event’s most daring and unforgettable attractions, cementing Art the Clown as a new icon of fear within Universal Orlando’s Halloween tradition.
