There is SO much to do AND eat at Halloween Horror Nights! We were able to scratch the surface on opening weekend and found five stellar items you should order during your 2024 visit.

Slaughter Sinema 2 – Near the exit of Animal Actors On Location!

Ropa Vieja Walking Taco – Doritos, ropa vieja, salsa roja, lettuce, sour cream, and Monterey jack cheese – $13.99.

The flavor from this walking taco was so so good, especially from the ropa vieja. We were pleasantly surprised to see plenty of the shredded beef, which made this not only filling but a decent value. The salsa also had a nice spice which was toned down a little from the sour cream and cheese. We will definitely get this one again!

Summer Camp Dog – deep-fried all-beef Nathan’s hot dog topped with Tostitos nacho cheese, baked beans, pepper relish, and Doritos crumble – $10.49.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. This not-so-appetizing hot dog made the list?? Trust us… we were surprised too. The hot dog has a perfect snap from being fried and the relish has a surprising amount of spice… it was actually spicy and packed with flavor. The walking taco was still the overall winner, but if you’re stopping at this booth, do yourself a favor and get both!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire – Near Park Plaza Holiday Shop

Mini Stay-Puft S’more – mini Stay-Puft marshmallow man, chocolate bar, and graham cracker – $6.99.

Our team was very excited to try this oh-so-cute s’more and the true star of HHN! The size of the s’more was substantial, and the Stay-Puft was freshly toasted, helping to melt the chocolate just like the perfect s’more should! This has to be one of the BEST theme park desserts we’ve ever seen. The line was a little long the first night but I would wait in it again and again for this little baby!

Slimer’s Korean Corndog – Korean cheese dog with Fritos, coated with Cheetos powder, ghost pepper spice, sage derby cheese, and mozzarella – $11.99.

This is another don’t judge a book by its cover item! It may look regurgitated, but this corndog was DELICIOUS! The spice from the ghost pepper with the creaminess of the sage derby cheese and mozzarella was so good. The corndog was also fried perfectly and the melty cheese complimented the crunch of the Fritos. Do not miss out on this one.

The Frozen Death Chill – Korean corndog-dipped mint cheesecake with Bugles and glitter – $11.99.

This was such an unhinged dessert that I was not particularly excited to try it. However, we were shocked by how good this dessert was. Not as good as the Stay-Puft s’more, but the cheesecake was the perfect consistency and the mint was subtle in the best way. The little bit of salt and crunch from the Bugles was also a nice contrast to the cheesecake.
