While we’re huffing fog through the streets of Universal Studios Florida, exiting an immersive haunted house, or people-watching (and maybe screaming) through scare zones, we’re often thinking which HHN snack we’re going to try next. While we tried a few favorites on opening night, I’m here with another foodie recommendation from the INSIDIOUS food booth.
Red Door Hand Pie | $9.49
The INSIDIOUS food booth is located at Music Plaza, across from Minion Cafe.

This savory pastry is filled with potato, onion, peas, and carrots. It’s a much more friendly than the actual Red Door leading to INDISIOUS’ The Further — in fact, it’s vegan! The temperature dropped to a “cool” 80 degrees last night, I was between running from haunted house to haunted house, and this warm hand pie did just the trick. The pie crust has a good, homemade taste, and the filling is a little piece of soul food – without the meat.

Plus, who doesn’t love a well-themed snack? It may not be my tip-top favorite food offering at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights (more on that later), but it’s certainly tasty enough that I’ll be sure to grab it a few more times before the event closes on November 3rd.
