Remember when Emily Blunt’s character stepped on a nail in A Quiet Place and it almost cost her her life? HHN decided to comically turn this moment into a dessert offering at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event.
While we’re huffing fog through the streets of Universal Studios Florida, exiting an immersive haunted house, or people-watching (and maybe screaming) through scare zones, we’re often thinking which HHN snack we’re going to try next. We tried a few instant favorites on opening night, but I’m back with another sweet treat recommendation from the A Quiet Place food booth.
Wooden Board Eclair | $6.99
Spicy dark chocolate pastry cream-filled eclair, dipped in chocolate ganache with a bloody chocolate plank.

This eclair is a really nice size for $7. I was pleasantly surprised with the massive piece of dark chocolate atop the rich ganache and fresh pastry. The eclair is pretty standard for theme park pastries, but the twisted, fun combo of spicy chili flavoring and dark chocolate makes this a decadent HHN offering. I will say it is rather messy, especially in this hot weather, so don’t forget your napkins and cutlery. That said, I’ll definitely be getting this again!
Theming? Why yes, we love theming, and boy does this food booth HAVE IT. Given that this booth is located within Sting Alley in New York, you order food near the lagoon side, and venture into the alleyway filled with barn set pieces to ultimately pick up your dish. There’s no background music playing, toy space shuttles are lying around, and Team Members working within this area are speaking in American Sign Language and/or point to menu items illustrated within the booth to communicate what’s needed for pickup. Gives a whole new meaning to the term “hands!” (… yes chef).

Halloween Horror Nights is happening NOW at Universal Studios Florida, and runs select nights through November 3rd.
