Universal has just announced that the SAW series will return to Halloween Horror Nights for this year’s event! The franchise is one of the highest grossing horror movie series of all-time, and it is perfect timing considering Jigsaw will be released this October. In fact, there will actually be a spoiler in the house for one of the new traps in the movie!
Universal promises that “guests will come face-to-face with the work of master craftsman ‘Jigsaw’ and a collection of his most infamous traps from the SAW film series.” SAW was used as the inspiration for a house at Halloween Horror Nights 19 in Orlando, and Universal has said that there will be nods to that previous house, but it will not be a recreation of that house.

Also, placing the house in a different location this time around gave us another way to elevate the scares. SAW: The Games of Jigsaw functions as one large trap. You’ll be funneled through claustrophobic, visceral experiences and be a part of the most terrifying “games” ever devised on screen. Trials that you may be familiar with and some that are completely unknown to you— sounds fun.
