We’re just one month and fifteen days away from the kick-off of Halloween Horror Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Florida (but who’s counting?!), and we FINALLY have a look at the first scare zone: The Origins of Horror.
Enter a decaying conservatory of twisted vines where artists carve tributes to Halloween Horror Nights 34. You’ll encounter monstrous crows, gargoyles and more.

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 Event Theme
Coinciding with this newly-revealed scare zone, the overarching theme for this year’s event has been confirmed to center around the gothic design of a conservatory — a detail Michael Aiello, Senior Show Director, revealed during Spooky Empire a few weeks back. “For 2025, what we’ve decided to do is kind of a step back. What are the beginnings of horror? What are the textures that come to mind when you think about the initial horror feel?”
This gothic conservatory theme is already reflected in this year’s preview merchandise display and items, which feature a conservatory window decoration and a “Never Go Alone” t-shirt with similar theming.

What Else is Coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2025?
This year’s haunted house lineup includes originals GÁLKN: Monsters of the North, Grave of Flesh, Dolls: Let’s Play Dead, Hatchet & Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, and El Artista: A Spanish Haunting, alongside highly-anticipated blockbusters including Art the Clown killing his way through a Terrifier-themed funhouse, Jason Universe based on the Friday the 13th franchise, and Fallout, based on the popular video game and Amazon Prime show.
Five Nights at Freddy’s has also been announced. We can assume this is another haunted house, but there were no further details given at the time of the June 2nd announcement: “Five Nights at Freddy’s is coming in a whole new way… More details coming soon.”
With Orlando’s typical lineup of 10 haunted houses, we have two more official house announcements to go. We’re also anticipating more scare zones and entertainment news! Stay tuned!

The 34th annual Halloween Horror Nights will take place at Universal Studios Florida from August 29th through November 2nd, 2025. All tickets and Frequent Fear multi-night passes are available now – book your Universal Halloween trip HERE!
