Let the good times roll! Universal Orlando is really letting the good times roll this year, because they are extending Universal Mardi Gras once again. The annual event at Universal Studios Florida started back on February 6 and was supposed to end March 28. However, due to demand and crowds, Universal extended the event to April 11. Once again, Universal has extended the event through Sunday, May 2.

This year’s Mardi Gras event is different past years. Instead of the normal Mardi Gras parade and headlining concerts, the event is more of an international food festival celebrating the International Flavors of Carnaval. Over 100 Carnaval-inspired food and beverage items are available throughout the park. What countries are represented? Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Cuba are just a few of the countries featured. Of course you can’t have Mardi Gras without New Orleans!

Plenty of merchandise is still available at the Tribute Store inside the park. Take home a gift to keep Mardi Gras rolling all year long from the comfort of your home. Be sure to take lots of pictures with the Mardi Gras performers around the streets of the park and get an up-close look at the floats! The floats are usually stored back-of-house during the day, so it’s a unique chance to see the floats like never before.

It’s very unlikely Universal Mardi Gras will be extended again, so don’t miss out on your chance to see it!
