Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras Celebration is happening February 7th through April 4th. The event celebrates a New Orleans style Mardi Gras with international flavors of carnaval. Guests can enjoy an authentic Mardi Gras parade, concerts from Grammy-winning artists, plus shopping and dining opportunities all included with your regular park ticket to Universal Studios Florida.
No other theme park does a gift shop experience quite like Universal! The Mardi Gras Tribute store is located in Williams of Hollywood and offers an immersive walk-through experience and the opportunity to buy Universal Mardi Gras exclusive merchandise. You can visit the Mardi Gras Tribute Store during regular park hours and is your go to place to purchase customizable beads, Universal Mardi Gras t shirts, King Gator merchandise, and so much more.
This year’s Mardi Gras Tribute Store is themed as “TonTon’s Roadhouse” – part-dive bar, part billiards room with a live music stage, cajun kitchen, and a spooky bayou out back. When you first get to TonTon’s Roadhouse, you’ll notice Earl the Squirrel’s red pickup truck out front with plenty of luggage for his Mardi Gras vacation. Once inside you’ll see both Earl the Squirrel and Gerg the Llama Easter eggs and merch.
The first few rooms of the Tribute Store are the themed like a billiards room, full bar, and music stage. You’ll see lots of posters and bottles of liquors with callouts to other past Tribute Stores and Universal attractions.
The best part of any Tribute Store is the details. You’ll see posters for Magdol Meade (E.T. Adventure), Amity Malt and Captain Jake’s (Jaws), lost dog poster (Beethoven), and “See something, say something” Bigfoot poster (Cyrus T. Pavo’s Legends of the Bayou Museum and Gift Shop/ 2025 Tribute Store).
Try to visit the Tribute Store multiple times during your visit so you can soak it all in and take advantage of the photo-ops.
After you pass through the TonTon’s Roadhouse stage, you find yourself in the back kitchen with a fridge full of mysterious creatures, the makings of gumbo, and plenty of seafood. Be sure to open the grill just outside the kitchen to see TonTon’s latest special.
Around the corner, you’re outside TonTon’s Roadhouse in an alley that leads to a bayou full of spirits and signs of voodoo.
After winding through the bayou, you head into the heart of New Orleans where most of the shopping is.
