Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights officially begins on August 29th with select nights through November 1st. Stay and Scream is a perk to day ticket guests including Annual Passholders, or those who pay extra for the Stay and Scream ticket. Stay and Scream allows Halloween Horror Nights ticket holders the opportunity to get first access to the park, the event, and haunted house lines. This is a great strategy to make the most of your Halloween Horror Nights ticket with the opportunity to see as many as three houses before the event officially begins at 7 PM… and we’ve tested this before!

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights is changing up the way you experience Stay and Scream! Guests with day-time admission or a Stay and Scream ticket no longer have to wait in designated areas of the park. You can receive a wrist-band for Stay and Scream as early as 3 PM and then have full access to Universal Studios Florida to ride rides, grab a bite, see a show, etc.
Even better, Stay and Scream now includes the opportunity to line-up for houses as early as 4 PM. This is 3 hours before the event actually begins! Hopefully, this means the houses will open up before 7 PM, making Stay and Scream that much more valuable.

Universal is officially calling the Stay and Scream ticket the “Scream Early” option. Tickets are $55 per person and can be added to your previously purchased Halloween Horror Nights ticket.

Getting access to the house lines 3 hours early could be a huge benefit or it could bog down the lines and mean multiple hours standing in a line for one house. Universal typically opens the gates to Halloween Horror Nights closer to 6 – 6:30 PM so I’m assuming Stay and Scream guests would at least have access to a house or two before then. Either way, we’ll be sure to report back after the first weekend of Halloween Horror Nights!
There’s still time to book your Halloween Horror Nights vacation! Not only are tickets, Express Pass, Stay and Scream, and some R.I.P. Tours still available, you can even save by booking a Universal Orlando vacation package that includes Halloween Horror Nights. Even better, you can include Epic Universe in your package, making it the perfect Universal Orlando vacation.
