Terminator 2 Closing Permanently on October 8

We now know the fate of Terminator 2: 3-D at Universal Studios Florida – it has officially been terminated. Fans have been wondering for a long time now how much time Terminator 2 had left considering it is based on a movie that was released in 1991. Those questions have been put to rest, and the answer is October 8, 2017. According to our insiders at Universal, an internal notice went out this morning and the Terminator 2: 3-D team has been made aware of the closure.

Media sites were made aware this morning via email that the closure would be happening, and the information was also published onto the Universal Orlando website, but later removed. Here is the full transcript:



Terminator 2: 3-D at Universal Studios Florida will run its last shows on Sunday, Oct. 8 to make way for an all-new live action experience based on a high-energy Universal franchise. It will open in 2019.  This is one of many exciting new experiences coming to Universal Orlando Resort as we continue our epic growth.  Stay tuned – more details will be released soon.

There you have it. You now have a month to get out the Universal Studios Florida and experience the attraction one last time.
