If you are a fan of Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, or the yellow brick road, you simply cannot miss a visit to Wicked: The Experience in Universal Studios at the Universal Orlando Resort. This incredible walk-through display and retail spot was added to Hollywood Land in the theme park last fall, just before the first film of the 2-part series was released. With the second part scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 21, 2025, it’s the perfect time to step into this immersive experience that brings the Land of Oz to life with a mix of spellbinding photo ops and exclusive merchandise.
From the moment you step into the space, it feels like you’re entering the world of Elphaba and Glinda.

The wallpaper is absolutely spectacular!

This space immediately gave me vibes from Walt Disney Presents in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. I could see costumes and props from the Broadway play and the movie, and I was instantly more excited than ever to check it all out.

This ruffly pink dress is one of my all-time favorite costumes of all, but if I’m being truthful, I LIVE for baby pink everything, especially things with ruffles.

The circular entryway into Glinda’s room was so pretty, and I love the curvature of the entire room. I’ve always wanted to live in one of those old Victorian homes with a circular room as my office. I’m in love with all the pretty pink luggage trunks, too. Look at all those ruffles on the bed! Also, my last name starts with a “G,” so that trunk on the left could easily be mine. Ahem.

The way the displays are set up in this space was so clever, with the costume, some props from the scene it was worn in, stills from those scenes, and a few pieces of exclusive merchandise to go with it. It really draws you in for a closer look.

Nessarose, Elphaba’s younger sister’s, costume was also on display.

Some costumes were not behind glass, so you could really see the detail.

There were even a couple of great three-dimensional photo ops inside!

The second photo backdrop was located in the Emerald City section.

There’s plenty of exclusive Wicked merchandise to shop for, including apparel, accessories, and souvenirs designed just for this experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the stage production or counting down the days until the second movie hits theaters, this is a fun, festive way to celebrate one of Broadway’s most beloved stories.

There was actually so much incredible merchandise here that there was no way I could decide on any of it. I’m pretty particular about what I bring home with me, and to say it was overwhelming is certainly an understatement. It was all there, from great t-shirts to cosplay pieces and Loungefly mini backpacks and throw pillows, too.

The shop wouldn’t be complete without a full collection of Shiz University merchandise. This really cracks me up, but there were a lot of pieces here from PJs to drinkware and even a big duffle bag.

Wicked: The Experience is only around for a limited time, but we don’t have an end date. If you’re planning a visit to Universal Orlando this summer, be sure to stop by. It’s a little bit of Broadway, a touch of Oz, and a whole lot of unforgettable fun.
