Surprise: it’s packed with nostalgia! The Universal Mega Movie Parade officially stepped off at Universal Studios Florida on July 3rd. While the parade is currently in technical rehearsal, there’s still a lot to see (and it only gets better from here, right?). This is Universal Orlando’s biggest daytime parade to date, including nearly 100 performers and 13 floats, featuring a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man atop the Ghostbusters float, the colorful Caterbus on the Trolls float, and a massive Tyrannosaurus rex aboard the Jurassic World float — breaking the record for largest figure featured in a Universal Orlando daytime parade!

Universal Mega Movie Parade is now showing at Universal Studios Florida on select days through November 14th. The parade route travels around the Hollywood area, stepping off and rounding back through the gates near Horror Makeup Show. A reserved passholder-exclusive viewing area is available in front of Mel’s Drive-In through July 10th.
There’s something for everyone. Here are the film franchises you’ll see in the Universal Mega Movie Parade:
- Back to the Future
- Sing
- Minions
- Kung Fu Panda
- Trolls
- Ghostbusters
- E.T.
- Jaws
- Jurassic World

Each of the themed floats are intricately detailed, and the many performers and dancers are really putting their heart into it, making it easy to relive classic movie moments in a whole new way. Seeing these larger-than-life icons from our favorite childhood films is truly something special.

Between this parade, the Summer Tribute Store filled with even more nostalgia, the new CineSational lagoon show (packed with musical movie moments celebrating Universal park attractions from the past, present, and future), and lower crowd levels just before Epic Universe opens next year, this summer is a great time to visit Universal Studios Florida. Just don’t forget your sunscreen!
…Who you gonna call?
