Read moreWhat was once Back to the Future is now The Simpsons Ride, a motion simulator that takes America’s favorite cartoon family to Krusty the Clown’s theme park to take the first ride on Krustyland’s newest attraction. Luckily, the Simpsons have chosen you to take the first ride with them, but when Sideshow Bob shows up everything goes horribly wrong. The ride utilizes the same technology that was used in Back to the Future, putting you in front of giant domes with an 80 ft. diameter projecting high definition images.
The attraction really starts in the queue when you are treated to clips from the television show that are based around theme parks. Keep an eye out for maps of Krustyland though so you have a better idea of what you are going to expect when you get there. Brand new Simpsons animation was created specifically for the ride, queue and pre-show and some of the funniest moments happen before you even make it to the ride. Once you board your vehicle, Sideshow Bob does everything he can to kill you and the Simpsons knocking you around from a roller coaster to the Tunnel of Love to the Happy Little Elves ride and even down to Hell at one point. Fans of the show will absolutely love the ride and those who don’t may walk away impressed with the technology, but will miss a ton of inside jokes and humor that makes The Simpsons Ride special.
