Universal theme park guests have a new reason to visit SUPER NINTENDO WORLD this spring! Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort are introducing a limited-time celebration tied to Nintendo and Illumination’s upcoming film, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The event begins on March 10th – also known as MAR10 Day (or Mario Day) – and will run daily through April 13th, 2026. During that time, guests visiting SUPER NINTENDO WORLD in Universal Orlando and Hollywood can take part in themed experiences, specialty food offerings, and photo opportunities inspired by the new film ahead of its April 1st theatrical release.
One of the featured additions is a limited-time character appearance from Yoshi. The little green dinosaur introduced in the Super Mario World game, released for the Super Nintendo in 1991 has become a fan favorite over the decades. He will greet guests at both SUPER NINTENDO WORLD locations, at Universal Studios Hollywood and at Universal Epic Universe in Orlando.

Special menu items will also be available during the celebration. At select dining locations inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, movie-inspired treats such as the Rosalina Cupcake will be available for purchase. The blue velvet dessert is filled with blueberry cheesecake, topped with lemon buttercream, and finished with a chocolate crown and star. Another themed snack, Galaxy Popcorn, features multicolored berry-flavored popcorn coated with edible glitter to reflect the film’s cosmic setting.
Limited-edition merchandise tied to the movie will also debut during the event. Among the new items are interactive shoulder pals based on the Luma characters from the film. The accessories will be available in blue and yellow versions and include built-in light and sound effects. When placed near each other, the shoulder pals are designed to interact and communicate.

The celebration will extend beyond the parks to Universal CityWalk Orlando and Universal CityWalk Hollywood, where both locations will feature a themed photo opportunity inspired by the movie. You can also catch the film at the nearby Universal Cinema and Universal Cinemark beginning April 1st, the same day it arrives in theaters worldwide through Universal Pictures.
