Originally teased back in August 2024, Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed a first look at their all-new Fan Fest Nights, happening at their park in April and May.
From the creators of Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Fan Fest Nights is a limited-time, after-hours event, exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood. Showcasing a line-up of immersive in-world experiences, bringing some of the most popular Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming and Anime properties to life with live entertainment, cosplay, exclusive character meet and greets, photo ops, specially-created food offerings, merchandise, and more.
Tickets are now on sale for Fan Fest Nights, with General Admission starting at a $74. Here’s a better look at what’s included with each themed event night:
Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley
The best part of visiting Universal Studios Hollywood is that the park is built on and around an actual working studio, where many movies and TV shows are filmed today. Including the beloved Back to the Future from 1985 — get ready for a nostalgia-packed night!
- Climb aboard the Studio Tour “Fan Tram” as you venture to Courthouse Square – the original filming location located at the Studios’ backlot
- Enjoy themed photo ops within familiar scenes filled with iconic props
- Meet and greet with Doc Brown and his time-traveling DeLorean
- Dance the night away at the recreation of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance and take in the Hill Valley Festival
- Experience a stunning recreation of the Clock Tower lightning strike; sending Marty back to the future multiple times each evening
- Bespoke food, treats, and beverages will be available for purchase, in addition to 40th-anniversary merchandise.
Super Nintendo World: Let’s Go, Yoshi
While SUPER NINTENDO WORLD turns a whole two years old this year at Universal Studios Hollywood, the land will celebrate with everyone’s favorite green Dino from the Super Mario Bros.
- Yoshi will be meeting and greeting for the very first time
- Plus, a themed scavenger hunt will have you on the lookout for five colorful Yoshi eggs in order to unlock an exclusive meeting with a different colored Yoshi!
- Stay for a Nintendo-themed nighttime drone show, sparkling high above SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
- Pick up Yoshi merch, try the Yoshi-themed Fettuccine Alfredo or Fruit Smoothie
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Magical Creatures
Ready those wands! Further engage inside USH’s immersive Harry Potter-themed land with all-new magical creature interactions, including the opportunity to meet the Niffler, a Baby Dragon and grand Occamy.
The centerpiece of the experience will feature the Hogwarts Always light projection show, as it debuts for the very first time on the west coast. This spectacular weaves together the beloved John Williams scores with moments of wizardry; Hogwarts Always will shine bright as it comes to life on Hogwarts castle.
Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons, and Anime Favorites
For those who like to be part of their favorite worlds from the inside, there will be actual walk-through stories to experience featuring original stories made in collaboration with the licenses.
Star Trek: Red Alert will feature a daring walk-through experience featuring the screen-used bridge in the final season of Star Trek: Picard and a Transporter Room experience. Laden with special effects, audio-visual effects, multi-sensory activations and themed performers, this all-original experience will create an unforgettable, awe-inspiring moment that will elevate Star Trek fandom to new levels.
Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep will allow groups to go on a quest together to battle a Xanathar monster (a creation from Jim Henson Creature Shop).
Anime fans, get ready for the fun of the One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen fan areas via interactive and film-based experiences which first debuted at Universal Studios Japan.
Each of these fandom areas will have specially-created food and beverages, as well as merchandise opportunities to purchase.
