PHOTOS: Jaws Mold-A-Rama Added to Universal Legacy Store

The Universal Legacy Store (formerly the Universal Studios Store) at Universal CityWalk has barely been around, but it’s by far the best thing to happen to the shopping/dining district since Bigfire – the #1 place to make you big happy at Universal Orlando. The shop has all of the coolest retro merchandise you can find around the resort along with props, models, costumes, and more. It’s the perfect tribute to the past and present. It also just got a lot cooler.

Mold-A-Rama machines have become a staple of the Tribute Stores at Universal Studios Florida during Halloween, Christmas, and Mardi Gras, but a new machine has popped up inside the Universal Legacy Store. Let’s insert the “you’re gonna need a bigger boat” line here, because it’s a Jaws Mold-A-Rama!

The machine is right inside the door as soon as you walk in. You couldn’t possibly miss it. The machine is decked out with photos of the Amity area and Jaws attraction that used to be in Universal Studios Florida. The Jaws ride was removed back in 2012 to make way for Diagon Alley. You can still see Bruce the Shark next to Chez Alcatraz (when he’s actually there) and now you can also take him home!

The plastic (not wax) figure costs $6 dollars and you can pick it up with cash, credit card, or mobile pay. The process takes a little over 30 seconds. The shark itself is about 5 inches and is predominantly grey, but has a tint of gold as well. It also says Universal at the bottom, so you’ll never forget where you bought it.

This is one of the neatest souvenirs you can pick up while visiting Universal. While there is only one mold, each is unique because there will be imperfections. These can withstand Florida heat, but they are still pretty delicate. I’d recommend picking it up at the end of your day. That way you can get it back home or to the hotel without any damage. There’s no guarantee they’ll last forever, but they’re cheap and special!
