Now through August 10, all 11 Universal Orlando hotels are offering limited-time seasonal activities, specialty food and beverages, themed displays, and exclusive perks for resort guests. One of the biggest additions this summer is a collection of large-scale sand sculptures displayed inside each hotel lobby. Created using between 600 and 1,200 pounds of sand and taking as long as 10 hours to complete, each sculpture celebrates a different Universal franchise or attraction.
Here’s where you can find them:
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel – How to Train Your Dragon
- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel – Jaws
- Hard Rock Hotel – Ghostbusters
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort – Kung Fu Panda
- Loews Sapphire Falls Resort – Jaws
- Universal Aventura Hotel – Back to the Future
- Universal Stella Nova Resort – E.T.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort – Dark Universe
- Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort – Shrek
- Universal Endless Summer – Surfside Inn & Suites – Trolls
- Universal Endless Summer – Dockside Inn & Suites – Shrek
More Resort Guest Summer Benefits
Guests staying at the resorts can also sample a variety of limited-time summer menu items. Highlights include the Mischief Mixer cocktail at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, made with vodka, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine, as well as fried funnel cake sticks at Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

Several hotels are also adding extra evening entertainment around the pool. On Saturday nights beginning at 6:30 PM, guests staying at Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort can enjoy live DJs, games, giveaways, and other poolside activities.
Universal has also introduced a new benefit for hotel guests this summer. Every Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM resort guests can take part in exclusive character meet-and-greets inside Universal Studios Florida. This offering joins existing hotel benefits, including Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation throughout the resort.
The seasonal hotel offerings complement the summer entertainment already available across Universal Orlando’s theme parks, including limited-time photo opportunities, special character appearances, themed food and merchandise, and nighttime favorites on select evenings, including the Universal Mega Movie Parade (now stepping off at 7 PM for the summer) and CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular at Universal Studios Florida, and Hogwarts Always at Islands of Adventure.

Universal has also expanded its Volcano Bay Nights event, adding 11 additional dates this summer. The separately ticketed event gives visitors the chance to experience the water park after dark with shorter waits for attractions, exclusive entertainment, character appearances, and specialty food and beverages.

Whether you’re spending the day in the parks or relaxing at your resort, Universal Orlando is offering plenty of extra reasons to make the most of a summer vacation! Ready to go? Contact Dreams Unlimited Travel to plan your getaway!
