Guests have been anxiously waiting for Universal Orlando to release their Halloween Horror Nights Frequent Fear Passes including those with Express Pass. Today Universal confirmed the Frequent Fear Passes with Express are being discontinued. In a statement from Universal Orlando on X –
As we continue to evaluate our offerings in an effort to provide the best Halloween Horror Nights experience for all Guests, we have discontinued all Fear with Express Pass Products. Other Fear pass options will go on sale soon.
Universal Orlando has offered Frequent Fear with Express since 2003. This special pass allowed guests to use the Express line once per house, every night of their ticket. Last year, Frequent Fear with Express options ranged in price from $629 to $1,199.
Here’s hoping the discontinuation of Frequent Fear with Express will actually help with guest flow and create more efficient standby lines. Two of last year’s most popular houses, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Terrifier, posted multi-hour waits every night of the event.
The good news is Universal Orlando will still offer Frequent Fear Passes and you can currently purchase single night HHN Express Passes starting at $199. Rumors suggest Frequent Fear Passes will go on sale Tuesday, July 21st. Universal has confirmed Premier Annual Passholders can book their included HHN ticket on the same day after 12 p.m. Keeping with recent tradition, fans originally expected passes to go on sale the Thursday following July Fourth.
Halloween Horror Nights is celebrating its 35th Anniversary with a stacked line-up of houses, scare zones, and entertainment. Some of the biggest announcements include the houses “One Last Adventure with Stranger Things” from the 5th and final season of Stranger Things and “Sinners” based on the Academy Award winning film. Universal Orlando is expected to announce its two remaining IP houses along with the rest of the scare zones this week. HHN 35 is taking place select nights beginning August 28th until November 1st.
Even though Frequent Fear Passes aren’t on sale quite yet, you can purchase single night tickets and event extras like Express, R.I.P. Tours, and Scream Early admission. You can also combine any of these options with a specially discounted Halloween Horror Nights package to enjoy a Universal Hotel stay plus theme park tickets!
