We already knew Universal Orlando’s Holiday celebration would begin on November 13, 2021 and run for 51 days and nights until January 2, 2022. However, now we have details on all of the holiday cheer and goodness coming to the entire resort. The good news is most of the fan-favorite parts of the event will be returning.
Over at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas will once again take over Seuss Landing with the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” – a live retelling of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” featuring the one and only Grinch and the Whos from Who-ville. Seuss Landing is always decorated for the celebration and you’ll even see the Whos out and about during the day if you’re lucky. No word yet on whether or not the Grinchmas breakfast will return, but it seems unlikely.
Staying in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will celebrate the season as the streets of Hogsmeade will be decorated once again. The Frog Choir will once again sing Christmas carols and each night Hogwarts Castle will come to life with “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” projection show.
Over in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Florida, Longdon and Diagon Alley will also receive their special themed decorations. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the very famous Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees performing their special holiday show.
The highlight of the season in Universal Studios Florida is Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. Giant Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade-style balloons and floats will make their way through the streets of the park. You’ll see Minions, Shrek, and so many more DreamWorks Animation characters. Of course, it wouldn’t be a parade without Santa Claus who always helps to light the Universal Studios Florida Christmas Tree. Universal didn’t run their holiday parade in 2021, but guests did have a chance to get up close to the balloons used for the parade and it was a phenomenal experience. That being said, it will be wonderful to have the parade back.
Universal Orlando Resort will receive plenty of seasonal food and beverage options and themed merchandise to put everyone in the holiday spirit. The hotels will receive their typical seasonal decor along with other special activities.
If you’ve never experienced Universal Orlando Resort during the holidays it truly is a wonderful time of the year to visit the park. If you’re looking to visit Universal Orlando for the holidays, we recommend using Dreams Unlimited Travel to book your vacation!
