As mentioned, the Universal Mardi Gras parade is one of the highlights of the event. This year the theme of the parade is the elements being represented by Earth, wind, fire, water, the sun, and the moon. These floats will roll down the streets along with the floats inspired by New Orleans. Here’s a look at the fire float as it was being constructed at Mardi Gras World in New Orleans.

Finally, you aren’t doing Universal Mardi Gras right if you’re not devouring the food. There will be more than 60 tasting-sized items to be found around Universal Studios Florida including a Fried Green Tomato Po’boy, Beignets, Chicken Schnitzel, Chilaquiles Verdes, and more. To get the best value for Universal Mardi Gras food, purchase a Food and Beverage card.
