Round up your Hogwarts housemates, as Butterbeer Season returns from March 1st through May 31st 2026 at Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Beijing Resort, as well as Universal Studios Japan (for the very first time, April 1st through May 17th).
This dedicated, annual tradition invites everyone to enjoy all things Butterbeer; the scrumptious beverage reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread. While the choice treat of wizard and witches is always available for purchase at Universal’s parks in hot, cold and frozen form, Butterbeer Season brings limited-time treats and merchandise to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal parks around the globe.
Here’s what you can expect this spring:
Universal Orlando Resort & Universal Studios Hollywood
March 1 – May 31, 2026
Butterbeer Season will be celebrated at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, across The Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands.
New & Returning Treats
The signature new item for 2026 is the Butterbeer Waffle, available for a limited time at:
- Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade
- Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley
If you’re heading to Universal Studios Hollywood, you’ll also see the fan-favorite Butterbeer Cream Puff return.
At Universal Orlando, several additional limited-time treats will debut, including:
- Butterbeer Cupcake
- Butterbeer Cookie Sandwich
- Butterbeer Candy Apple
- Butterbeer Shortbread Bar
You’ll find these exclusively at Honeydukes in Hogsmeade and Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in Diagon Alley.
Over at the Ministry of Magic in Epic Universe, you can try a Biéraubeurre (Butterbeer) Crème Brûlée at Café L’air de la Sirène.
Year-Round Additions at Epic Universe
Butterbeer Season will also introduce Butterbeer-flavored truffles and macarons at K. Rammelle confectionary in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe. Unlike the seasonal items, you’ll be able to purchase these year-round.

A new collection of Butterbeer-themed merchandise will launch for the season, including:
- Spirit Jersey
- T-shirt
- Bucket hat
- Additional themed items

Universal Beijing Resort

At Universal Beijing Resort, you can enjoy the specialty Butterbeer Cream Puff for a limited time as you explore Hogsmeade.
New Butterbeer-themed merchandise will also arrive this spring, including a limited-edition, collectible Harry Potter 25 Years of Magic Butterbeer Stein.
Universal Studios Japan
April 1 – May 17, 2026
- For the first time, Universal Studios Japan will offer a limited-time Butterbeer Cream Puff as part of Butterbeer Season.
- You can also pick up Butterbeer-themed merchandise at Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods in Hogsmeade.
