Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade

Rumors circulated around for a while about whether Disney or Universal would be home to J.K. Rowling’s blockbuster book series about a young boy wizard. In the end, Harry Potter went to Universal and in 2010, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened as a complete success. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter took over parts of The Lost Continent to make Hogsmeade Village, including the old Dueling Dragons (Dragon Challenge – now closed) and The Flying Unicorn (Flight of the Hippogriff) roller coasters, and added in a brand new attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, making Universal Orlando a must-see destination once again. The Wizarding World has proven even more successful than anticipated which was led to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley expansion with the Hogwarts Express connecting the parks together.
