The construction walls that have been keeping the London waterfront section of the upcoming The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley under wraps came down last night, revealing some of the exciting things to come when the expansion opens later this summer. Take a look below for a look at the entrance to Diagon Alley – including the Knight Bus, Grimmauld Place, and the brand new Hogsmeade Station at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley is set to open this summer, with no specific date announced yet. The media and press previews will take place from June 17th – June 20th so be sure to follow along then as we bring you videos, photos and updates from Diagon Alley!
London Waterfront
The London Waterfront sets the scene for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. This area of the expansion includes King’s Cross Station, the Knight Bus, The Leaky Cauldron, Grimmauld Place and so much more creating an immersive experience for guests.
Knight Bus
The Knight Bus is a mode of transportation for stranded wizards in London that was first seen in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The iconic, fast moving, purple triple-decker bus now has a home in the London Waterfront which will set the stage for an interactive experience with the Knight Bus conductor and the Jamaican Shrunken Head.
Grimmauld Place
Grimmauld Place, specifically 12 Grimmauld Place, is best known as the ancestral home of the Black family as well as the headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. The Black family house-elf, Kreacher, can be seen still inhabiting 12 Grimmauld Place if you know the right place to look.
King’s Cross
King’s Cross Station is one of the busiest train stations in London and also the location of Platform 9¾ , which is where the Hogwarts Express can be found taking students to Hogwarts every year on September 1.
Hogsmeade Station
Hogsmeade Station is the newest addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, linking both Wizarding Worlds together via the Hogwarts Express.
