Is there anything more iconic than Butterbeer in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter? Probably not. It’s nearly impossible to walk the lands at Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Hollywood without seeing someone enjoying the Wizarding World drink.

For many years the drink could not be altered in any way. You could choose cold, frozen, or hot and it always included the topping. Universal started offering the drink without the topping last year making it accessible for those who who are dairy-free. Universal has now taken another step forward and made it vegan.

The vegan version of Butterbeer is available at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood in cold and frozen. The hot version of Butterbeer includes dairy making it impossible at this time to be vegan. The new offering features the same delicious taste as the existing according to Universal. If you’ve never had Butterbeer, the flavor is a mix of shortbread and butterscotch. The dairy froth is what made the Butterbeer non-vegan-friendly, but now they have a vegan-friendly version.

The vegan, non-dairy Buttereer can be found at Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron at Universal Orlando, as well as Hog’s Head and Three Broomsticks at Universal Studios Hollywood. How will you be taking your Butterbeer?
