Downstairs

The first floor of the Red Coconut Club has two bars with wine, beer on draft, specialty cocktails, and a full liquor bar, a DJ booth, dance floor, and plenty of lounge seating.

Be sure to look at all the details for fun Easter eggs like home videos with Halloween Horror Nights references like a family trip to Carey, OH. There’s also plenty of now-vintage items like clunky TVs with built-in VCRs, landline telephones, Polaroid cameras, CDs, and graphics from computer programs like paint and bouncing screen saver logos.

You might even recognize the telephone booth from Bill & Tedd’s Most Excellent Adventure or in this case, the actual prop from the retire Halloween Horror Nights’ show, “Bill & Tedd’s Excellent Halloween Adventure”. Best of all, you can actually step in for a photo.

Upstairs

Upstairs has more of a 90’s arcade feel with a Photo Booth, retro games with free play, booth seating, and “prize wall” behind the bar.

There’s also plenty of hidden gems upstairs like Major Sweets Candy Co. hard candies on the prize wall.

Amaretto Sour (pictured below right) – Disaronno amaretto liqueur, Maker’s Mark bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg whites$18

Both cocktails were super sweet and pretty small portions. Even though they use premium liquor, you’re better off ordering off-menu for a better value and more palatable option.

The combination of the theming and the music makes Re(d)tro Nights a fun, must-do on your Universal Orlando summer vacation! Between the abundant photo-ops are and retro games, you’re bound to want to spend time in this totally awesome spot. Honestly, the Red Coconut should keep this theme every year outside of seasonal events like Halloween Horror Nights and Mardi Gras.
