Dragon Challenge was one of the original rides to open up with Islands of Adventure, but back then it was known as Dueling Dragons inside The Lost Continent and the red track was named Fire. When The Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion opened the ride was renamed and the red side was update to Chinese Fireball. Although the ride no longer duels, Dragon Challenge is still one of the most thrilling roller coasters at Universal Orlando Resort. Dragon Challenge is based around the Triwizard Tournament (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), specifically the first task of the tournament and replica props can be seen in the queue including the Weasley’s Ford Anglia, the Goblet of Fire and the Triwizard Cup.
