Universal Closing September 28 & 29 Due to Hurricane Ian
Universal Orlando Resort has announced they will close on Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29 due to Hurricane Ian. This includes the theme parks, Universal CityWalk, and Halloween Horror Nights. Universal anticipates the resort’s reopening on Friday, September 30 conditions permitting. Universal’s hotels will remain operational during the closure as they focus on taking care of guests.
Universal recommends reaching out to their Guest Contact Center if you have travel that will be directly affected by the hurricane or through third-party suppliers or travel agents if booked through them. In the event of a hurricane or tropical storm warning by the National Hurricane Center or a state of emergency is declared for Orlando, Universal allows you to cancel or reschedule your vacation package, hotel room accommodations, or theme park tickets booked directly with Universal Orlando without any cancellation or change fees.
Guests can contact the Guest Contact Center by calling 800-711-0080. Stay tuned for more updates about Hurricane Ian and Universal Orlando Resort.
