Halloween Horror Nights Icons: Captured House Announced

The 30th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is a perfect time to celebrate the icons of the event. Guests will be able to encounter these original characters in a monstrous “Hell of Fame” in Halloween Horror Nights Icons: Captured. Jack the Clown, Chance, The Director, The Caretaker, The Usher, The Storyteller, Fear, and Lady Luck will all be featured in the original house concept. Throughout the house, guests will realize they’re being hunted as they try to escape the grasp of each character.

Most of the Halloween Horror Nights icons haven’t been part of the event since Halloween Horror Nights 25 in 2015. The exception is Chance who took over as the event icon in 2016. Here is a brief summary of the icons courtesy of the Universal Entertainment team:

  • The Caretaker, a once well-respected surgeon who has become eerily infatuated with the removal of internal organs – especially while his patients are conscious
  • The Director, an aspiring filmmaker obsessed with capturing the suffering and torture of his victims on film – placing them in their very own living horror movie
  • The Usher, who seeks to invoke violent vengeance on those who don’t follow the rules of his theater
  • The Storyteller, who stops at nothing to entrap guests into her latest tales of terror, where no one lives happily ever after
  • Jack the Clown – the original Halloween Horror Nights icon and the most feared of them all – and his assistant Chance, a deadly pair who thrive on tormenting victims in ways that embody their sick sense of humor

Besides this new house, Beetlejuice, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives!, and The Haunting of Hill House have all been announced for this year’s event. All tickets are now available as well, including single-night and multi-night tickets! Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on September 3 and runs select nights through October 31. Five more houses, five scare zones, and live entertainment still haven’t been announced at this time.
