‘Stranger Things’ Announced for HHN 28

It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, but the first house has been announced for Halloween Horror Nights 28 and we are getting to go to the Upside Down in Stranger Things! The house will be featured in Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple years, Stranger Things is one of the most popular Netflix original shows and blends ’80s nostalgia with pure horror. This is the first time that Stranger Things will appear as a house at Halloween Horror Nights, but the show was featured during Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure.

According to the official Universal Orlando blog:

You’ll faithfully follow the storyline, starting off on Mirkwood and then quickly moving to inside Hawkins National Laboratory where things have gone terribly, terribly wrong.

From there you will experience all the most memorable moments and environments from the show while being hunted at every turn by the Demogorgon.

And of course, you’ll step into the mysterious darkness of the Upside Down more than once – whether you like it or not.

This is an absolutely huge pickup for Universal, considering the popularity of the show and the amount of people who have attended the event over the past 5 years to see houses based on beloved television shows like American Horror Story and The Walking Dead. You’ll be able to find Stranger Things at Halloween Horror Nights on select nights starting September 14 through November 3.

Cool idea, but it better have huge rooms. One of the best things about Stranger Things is the sense of space. They should do it in the same place they had that New Orleans themed ghost ship, whatever it was, last year.

Awesome! I may have to make the trip down and do my first halloween horror nights just for that house… though I’m sure the lines will be insane.
