Details Released on Fast & Furious – Supercharged

Fast & Furious – Supercharged is months away from opening and for the most part Universal has been keeping very quiet about what we should be expecting from the upcoming ride based on one of the most successful movie franchises of all-time. Finally, we have a bit more information on what will be happening with Dom and the family.

First off, Universal has to step up the action from the Fast & Furious – Supercharged that is part of the Studio Tram Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. They promise to make it the ultimate Fast & Furious experience with new characters, a new story, supercharged cars, and the Virtual Line experience.

As for the characters, Dom (Vin Diesel), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) will all be apart of the attraction, just like they are in Universal Studios Hollywood attraction. Universal claims that this is an original and new story, but that doesn’t seem to be a case. Universal says that Dom will invite guests to attend a race after-party, but Owen Shaw will track us down and lead us into a high-speed chase, which sounds very much like the plot in Hollywood. However, the big difference is that Tej Parker (Ludacris) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) are joining the rest of the family for this outing and Tej will be hooking us up with customized party busses, unlike the Hollywood trams. This means we probably won’t see any major changes to the video during the actual attraction, but we will see a new story with pre-show elements.

Speaking of the pre-show – before boarding the attraction we will be able to explore places like Tej’s high-tech War Room and the Family Room. Dom’s car will be parked outside, but it will be just one of 15 authentic cars created just for the attraction. Since the ride will utilize the Virtual Line experience like Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, you will most likely be able to wander around these different rooms seeing all of the vehicles and maybe even characters from the films.

Whether or not you are a fan of the Fast & Furious films, the movies are massive and this attraction will surely be extremely popular. Look for Fast & Furious – Supercharged to open in Spring 2018 at Universal Studios Florida!
