We’re getting a few key updates for Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026, and if you’re already planning to go, these are the ones you’ll want to know about.
Universal has confirmed three notable additions to this year’s event at Universal Studios Hollywood:
- A new interactive experience in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
- A Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon stage show
- And expanded ONE PIECE character meet-and-greets, in addition to its previously announced show
Let’s break those down first, since they’re the biggest updates.
New Experiences Making This Year Feel Fresh
Inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, guests will step into a new walkthrough-style adventure set in the Forbidden Forest. The experience centers around helping rescue a Hippogriff, with interactive elements, magical creatures, and a more hands-on approach than what we’ve typically seen in the land during special events.

Over at the DreamWorks Theatre, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is getting its own live show. This one leans into spectacle, bringing Super Sailor Moon and the Sailor Guardians together for what Universal is teasing as a visually impressive stage production.
And for ONE PIECE fans, there’s more than just the previously announced “Grand Pirate Show.” Attendees will also be able to meet characters from the Straw Hat Crew during the event, along with themed photo ops and food offerings in the fan zone area. That added meet-and-greet element is a nice bonus and adds a little more depth to the experience beyond just the stage show.
The Rest of the Event (What We Already Knew)
Beyond those updates, much of Fan Fest Nights 2026 will feel familiar if you followed last year’s event.
Returning and previously announced experiences include:
- A Scooby-Doo and Universal Monsters mashup on the backlot
- The Dungeons & Dragons immersive adventure
- A new Super Nintendo World interactive experience featuring Yoshi and a land-wide puzzle
Fan Fest Nights is an after-hours, separately-ticketed event focused on fandoms across sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming. This year, the event will be held on select nights from April 23 through May 16, 2026, with all experiences available each night.
Tickets are already on sale, including general admission and a multi-event night option.
Still More to Come
Universal is making it clear this isn’t the final lineup just yet. More details are expected as the event gets closer, but these latest additions help round things out and give the 2026 version a bit more personality compared to its debut year.
If you went last year, this feels like an expansion.
If you didn’t, this might be the year to finally check it out.
