New Photos and Details for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

We are just weeks away from the grand opening of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and Universal has released new photos and details from the upcoming attraction to ramp up the excitement! The new attraction is being deemed a “story coaster” by Universal as it blends immersive environments and unparalleled thrills with characters from the Wizarding World that we’ve come to know and love.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will invite guests aboard magical motorbikes where you will feel the freedom of flight as you travel throughout the Forbidden Forest. It’s been previously announced, but you’ll have the choice to either ride on a motorcycle or adjacent sidecar and each gives a unique perspective on the attraction. With seven launches during Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, the attraction will have more launches than any other roller coaster in the world.

At 5,053 feet, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will be the longest roller coaster in Florida – just short of a mile. Throughout that long journey, Universal has found a way to integrate their innovative technology seamlessly into surrounding environments. The attraction will also feature a nearly 17 foot free-fall vertical drop along with catapult moment where you’ll shoot up 65 feet into the air at a 70 degree angle before immediately dropping backwards.

The story of course starts with the queue as you “enter ruins which appear to have been abandoned for centuries behind Hagrid’s hut.” The ruins, which utilize the foundation of the old Dragon Challenge queue, are used by Hagrid for groundskeeping and it’s where the Care of Magical Creatures class that you’re attending will be taking place. On the way to the Motorbikes, you’ll see dragon eggs that are about to hatch, a makeshift nursery for the Blast-Ended Skrewts that you’ll see on the attraction and other materials from Hagrid’s class.

The pre-show experience will feature Arthur Weasley, Hagrid, and Fang via digital projection and special effects the exact same way that Bill Weasley introduces guests to Gringotts at Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. The pre-show moment will inform guests of their impending trip to the Forbidden Forest as part of their lesson.

After boarding the attraction, you’ll make your way into the Forbidden Forest featuring 1,200 trees where you’ll not only see the Blast-Ended Skrewts, but all Fluffy, the Three-Headed Dog, Centaurs, Cornish Pixies, and Devil’s Snare.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will be celebrating its grand opening June 13, 2019 at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter inside Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort!
